University Mark Lodge Installation 2017 |
| The University of Liverpool Mark Lodge No 1062 meets at the Liverpool Medical Institution and on Monday 20th February they held their Installation meeting. Worshipful Master WBro John Price P.PrGJW opened the meeting in a packed lodge room and welcomed the Assistant Provincial Grand Master VWBro Michael Clarke PGJO to the Lodge. |

| Accompanying the APGM were WBro Michael Winterbottom PGSD the Provincial Grand Master’s Special Rep for Liverpool; WBro Ernest Gavan PGStBr Prov GT and WBro Alan Fairhurst Prov GJW Once the salutations had been completed the Worshipful Master WBro Price gave a moving address in Honour of Departed Merit; WBro Ian Fisher PProvGIWks. |

| For the installation ceremony the Worshipful Master handed over the chair to WBro Chris Walls Prov GIG. WBro Walls asked WBro Dr. David Karsa PGJD to occupy the chair of Senior Warden and WBro Alan Fairhurst Prov GJW to occupy the Junior Wardens Chair. WBro Tom Marlow PProvGJW occupied the chair of Inner Guard. When everyone was in their respective places WBro Walls installed Bro Adam Kennaugh into the Master’s Chair. |

| It was an exceptionally good ceremony by WBro Chris and enjoyed by all attending the meeting. WBro Dave Roberts gave the explanation of the working tools to the Worshipful Master and WBro John Ryan PAGDC gave the presentation of the Keystone Jewel as well as the address to the Worshipful Master. Both addresses were done in fine style. |

| WBro Alan Fairhurst did the Wardens address; with WBro Tom Marlow doing the address to the overseers. Both these address were done to the same high standard that had been set by WBro Walls. VWBro Michael Clarke was left with the honour of giving the address to the Brethren and this too was of the highest standard. |

| The Worshipful Master then presented two cheques for charity to VWBro Michael Clarke; these were both gratefully received on behalf of those who will eventual benefit from them. Later VWBro Michael Clarke presented a Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro Robert DiSchiavi. |

| The meeting was followed by a very fine festive board. There is talk of a new candidate for the Lodge and we wish the Worshipful Master and his officers a most enjoyable year. |
